 Initiated to enhance the employability of deserving and underprivileged young graduates, the ‘Centres of Excellence’ is one of the many philanthropic activities of the Gita Mittal Foundation. A unique learning model, the Centres work towards enabling young graduates to become independent and gainfully employed. The Centres of Excellence are planned as a Not-for-Profit initiative in the context of a Public-Private Partnership. These Centres are planned to be equipped with quality infrastructure, that can enable the youth and womenfolk to acquire the required IT skills, interpersonal office skills and communication in English language; thus permitting them to take up voice as well as non-voice back office assignments. In addition, these Centres of Excellence shall also assist the youth in honing their leadership and entrepreneurial skills and enhancing their soft skills so as to equip them to work in modern workplaces as effective team players. The Foundation believes that this critical social investment in strengthening the human resource infrastructure can have a substantial impact on the reduction of poverty, empowerment of the youth and women, upliftment of the underprivileged sections and decline in rural migration.  |
