The Mittal Community Centre at Rajgarh was conceived as a non-profit centre for empowering the young populace of Rajgarh. The Centre houses a 100-seat facility for training in IT, English language and soft skills. Facilitation of skill development courses has enabled a number of these young graduates to secure job-oriented skills and avail of promising work opportunities.
Given the high infant mortality rates in the region, the Centre conducts regular training programmes for expecting mothers and midwives. Working towards increasing awareness among local midwives, prenatal and antenatal courses are provided by the Centre.
Rajgarh
A small town with a sparse population of 55,000, Rajgarh is set amidst arid vegetation and meagre resources. With low water levels and scanty rainfall, the town is devoid of consumable water resources and sustainable agriculture. Due to lack of proper infrastructural development and commercial activity, the local youth prefers to migrate to prosperous neighbourhoods. The Mittal Community Centre helps provide young aspirants with requisite job-skills.
